Hi everyone this is my first post on here. Just got back from a weekend of racing in the New forest down near Bournemouth. I had had a fairly easy rest week coming up to the race. Went out on the Monday for a hard session then had recovery rides on the Wednesday and Thursday.
Also i went out dirt jumping on the Thursday as i am also into a bit of jumping as well as the XC. I was up early on the Friday morning to pack the car up and head down to the New forest and set up camp for the weekend. after a few practice laps with the team (Orange Monkey) i had dinner and got a good nights rest ready for the Saturday race. This time i was gridded on the first row so was able to get a good start.
I went in to the first bit of single track third and held my position for the rest of the race even with a crash on th first lap. On the Sunday it was the 50 km English marathon champs. I got a good start and kept on the back of the front group, after a lap they had made a gap and I held second for the rest of the race making a successful weekends racing.
