Bérengère BOËS
Home riding area:
Mostly in my region: Alsace. But in different areas too, depending on where the races take place, or in holiday.
KM per week:
6000
Riding hours per week:
8
Year started riding:
1993
Favorite event:
Roc d’Azur, as usual. Happy ending of the season: nice area, nice weather, a lot of entertaining. Plus good legs and a strong ride. The perfect moment!
Best finish:
I would say my 8th place at the French XCO championship and my 4th place at the French Marathon championship are significant. But my victory at the roc d’azur in the tandem race with a friend, winning in the front of the Absalon couple was really a great moment.
Intended events this year:
I would like to keep new style of races, like the “Grand Raid Cristalp”, or do the “Transmaurienne” again. Anyway, I’d like to keep my title on the tandem race at the “Roc d’Azur”
Last participation of trail maintenance event:
It was last summer, with my team mates of Breiz Mountain. We rode regularly in group of 6 or 7 in South Alps. Our best ride was when we took the télésiège ( a chercher) to ride each side of a mountain. Everything was incredible, the view, the different tracks.
What kind of riding:
xc
My favourite ride:
Very sunny, with friends. A ride without seeing any car, on nice singletracks, in pure nature. I like to enjoy the ride, to sweap, and to have a fantastic bike between my 2 legs.
Travels more than two hours:
Not so often, only for big events ( 5-6 times in a year)
Most memorable ride:
It was a ride last summer, a few days after the French Championship. We were in Embrun with my boyfriend, next to the Serponcon lake. We rode by following the balised tracks but we finally got lost and I even crashed. But it was really awesome and we were simply enjoying our ride. We finally rode for 5 hours, and went back tired and hungry from this incredible ride.
